Raised in Greenfield, Ontario, Jamie’s passion for hockey has been a lifelong commitment. After his playing days, he dedicated 17 years as a referee, giving him a unique perspective on the game before moving behind the bench.
Jamie is known for his passion, intensity, and commitment to building a winning culture. His focus is on creating a hardworking, disciplined team that competes every night while making the Nick Smith Centre an exciting place for fans to watch hockey.
“Our mission is to reignite the Nick Smith Centre with high-intensity hockey every single night,” said Lavigne. “Those who know me recognize my intense yet passionate dedication to the game. I’m eager to connect with and start working alongside the fantastic people within the Rivermen organization.”
